Center for Emergency Response & Control

Location: Jeanerette, Louisiana

Size: 500,000 sq.ft. on 60 Acres

The Center for Emergency Response & Controlís (CERC) mission brings together the essential elements of an effective emergency control center for energy operations including major incidents, spills and storms, and the related facility assets for readiness and response while also being an integral part of the client’s compliance requirements.
The center’s vision draws upon the industry-leading success of facilities such as Shell Oil’s RTC command in Roberts, Louisiana. Developed at Shell’s existing world class training center to deal with the command and control challenges of Hurricane Katrina, the command capabilities at the center proved to be the only type
of resource capable of coordinating the massive effort as was required for the Macondo Incident and was loaned to BP for that ERC effort.
